Adelaide is located on the east coast of the Gulf of St. Vincent and is the capital of South Australia. Adelaide has a population of over 1.2 million and is the fifth-largest city in Australia. More than three-quarters of South Australians live in the Adelaide metropolitan area.
This city is located on the plains between the rolling Adelaide Hills and the Gulf, bordering many of Australia’s famous wine regions. The Barossa Valley and Clare Valley regions are in the north, the McLaren Valley and Langhorne Creek regions are in the south, and the cool Adelaide Hills region is in the east.
